dining services

Current and prospective ISI families should be aware that policies supporting our COVID-ready campuses
may supersede the descriptions of the programs and/or services described on this page.

ISI strives to provide delicious and nutritious meal options for students.

ISI proudly partners with Lexington Independents to provide meals for our students.

The nutritious ISI lunch program is included in the price of annual tuition. Students never have to worry about packing lunch in the morning, and there is no worry about forgetting to send lunch money to school.

We provide options to meet the different dietary needs and restrictions of our community. Typically, our students are offered a hot entree (traditional and vegetarian options available), a full salad bar, a deli counter, fresh fruit, an assortment of bread, and a made-from-scratch soup.

COVID Safety Policy Statement: Recognizing food service as an essential part of the school day, the following guiding principles have been established to mitigate serious health risks to our school community related to food service, snacks, and water fountains. These will remain in effect until further notice:

  • Students are only permitted to eat on campus during the school day with their primary cohort.
  • Buffet-style meal service is permitted with appropriate precautions including hand sanitation prior to self-service and social distancing observed in lines.
  • Use of communal dining spaces is permitted so long as students eat with their primary cohort in adherence to the procedures stated in this policy.
  • Use of water fountains is restricted for bottle-filling only.
