From performances to competitions and showcases, the arts are celebrated at ISI and play an essential role in creating the Midwest's most distinct academic experience.

Lower School

In the Primary Years Programme, students from age 3 to grade 5 participate in weekly music and visual arts classes. As they progress through the PYP, the concepts build on each other and become more complex.

Upper School

Students in the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes from grades 6 to 12 can select courses in music (including band and choir), the visual arts, and theatre arts. In Middle School, students will spend a trimester in Visual Arts, Music, and Drama to have a wide range of experiences. In High School, students are able to chose an art track to follow. As students progress, concepts continue to build on each other.
