Practice Schedule
Monday through Friday, 3:45-5:00 p.m.
Required by first practice:
These forms only need to be completed once a year, so Fall and Winter Athletics participants do not need to complete them.
All student athletes are required by the IHSAA to have a completed physical. If your child has not turned in the completed form to the Athletic Office, please schedule a physical immediately. You will need to take the IHSAA physical form to the appointment so that the physician may complete and sign it.
Equipment Checklist
These items are needed to participate and are not provided by the school
- Tennis/track shoes - spikes if preferred
- Water bottle
- Athletic apparel for practice (students are able to wear whatever athletic gear they feel comfortable in)

ISI Track and Field
Travel
For practice: Students will walk over to ISI field.
For away games: The team will travel via ISI bus to away meets. It is possible that parent carpool may be needed, but will be determined and communicated in advance.

Coach Bio
About Coach Phillip Thompson
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Coach Phillip Thompson brings both competitive experience and a passion for mentorship to ISI’s Cross Country and Track programs. A decorated athlete, he was a state champion in the triple jump during high school and went on to earn All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor triple jump during his collegiate career. Coach Thompson has been coaching Track & Field for the past three years, most recently at Floyd Central High School in Floyd Knobs, Indiana. This is his first year coaching at ISI, and he looks forward to building a strong, supportive team. He believes that good sportsmanship and teamwork are the foundation of every successful program.
About Coach Ana escriva
Ana Escriva is originally from Valencia, Spain, and holds a degree in Sports Science. She began competing in Track & Field at a young age, specializing in hammer throw, and competed in national-level competitions in Spain during both high school and college. She later continued her sports career while studying in the United Kingdom, where she also competed at the national level.
Ana has previously coached Track & Field at ISI and is excited to return with a focus on the throws. She hopes to pass on her love for the throwing events and help athletes enjoy the process while developing strong technique, confidence, and consistency in a positive team environment.
