Grade 5/6 boys Basketball

11/6 | Grade 5 & 6 Basketball vs Sycamore School | 36-15
The 5/6 Boys Basketball team came out firing and never looked back, cruising to a 36–15 victory over Sycamore School. Otto Kaiser set the tone early, scoring six quick points to get the Gryphons off to a fast start in the first quarter.

In the second and third quarters, the team’s smart ball movement created open looks, allowing multiple players to knock down three-pointers and keep the momentum rolling. Every player contributed to this impressive season-opening win, showcasing teamwork, skill, and energy on both ends of the court.

11/13 | Grade 5 & 6 Basketball vs Traders Point Christian Academy | 20-38
This game presented a significant challenge for us. Traders Point Christian had a dominant 6’0” center who made it tough for us to control the boards. We came out slow and lacked intensity in the first half, but things shifted after halftime. Cameron White brought a spark off the bench, giving us the energy we needed to rally. Although the team ultimately came up short, the Gryphons competed from start to finish.

11/13 | Grade 5 & 6 Basketball vs Mooresville Christian Academy | 21-43
It was a great start from the guys. We just got out of our game plan. We let Mooresville take control of the game. Freddy is one of our first year. Each week he comes to improve his skills. He show a lot of potential in this sport with his ability to be coachable and use what we’ve been learning so far.

12/3 | Grade 5 & 6 Basketball vs The Oaks Academy | 29-34
The team showed great progress tonight, playing with stronger chemistry and battling hard to the end. Rebounding proved to be the difference maker, as we came up just short on the boards in a game where every extra possession mattered. Despite that, our players competed with heart and kept the pressure on throughout. A standout performance came from Otto Kaiser, who led the team in scoring and provided a steady offensive spark all game long.

12/4 | Grade 5 & 6 Basketball vs Indiana School for the Deaf | 38-18
Both teams put on a great game and and the Gryphons showed tremendous growth as they continue learning the sport. The boys came out strong, taking an early lead and carrying that momentum from start to finish. It was also exciting to see every player get time on the court, and now nearly everyone on the roster has scored this season!

12/8 | Boys Grade 5 & 6 Basketball vs Bethesda Christian Schools | 16-36
This was a tough game all around for our boys, but their effort never wavered. They battled until the final whistle and showed great resilience in a challenging environment. I’m proud of how they handled themselves and continued to compete from start to finish.
