arts at isi

From performances to competitions and showcases, the arts are celebrated at ISI and play an essential role in creating the Midwest's most distinct academic experience.
All cast and crew are required to submit the Theatre Production Participation Fee, which covers the cost of meals and snacks for extra rehearsals and productions, costumes, props, and set designs. Student directors do not need to submit the Theatre Production Participation Fee. Learn more via the Theatre Productions tab below!

Lower School
In the Primary Years Programme, students from age 3 to grade 5 participate in weekly music and visual arts classes. As they progress through the PYP, the concepts build on each other and become more complex.

Students in the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes from grades 6 to 12 can select courses in music (including band and choir), the visual arts, and theatre arts. In Middle School, students will spend a trimester in Visual Arts, Music, and Drama to have a wide range of experiences. In High School, students are able to chose an art track to follow.
