community culture at isi

At the International School of Indiana, we see our multicultural makeup as an asset and respect for differences as integral to our mission. Our school was created in part to offer Indiana parents a distinct educational program for their children, one combining a demanding curriculum with foreign language fluency, cultural awareness, and an appreciation for diversity. We are committed to creating a fair and inclusive environment for all and believe a safe school environment enables our students to learn, explore, and grow as compassionate, caring members of our community.
The ten attributes in the IB Learner Profile provide inspiration and aspiration to help members of our school community recognize, “I am a part of making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable here.

EQUITY STATEMENT

The International School of Indiana honors the uniqueness of each student and employee,
actively embracing diverse backgrounds, encouraging values that promote equity and
belonging, and fostering creative, culturally aware, global citizens. We equip our students with
the skills and confidence to explore ideas, ask critical questions, and express their unique views.
They are equally empowered to transform their communities by embracing, respecting, and
valuing others and connecting across a range of differences.

our mission

The mission of the International School of Indiana is to provide our students with a world-class education that prepares them to be responsible citizens and effective leaders in a rapidly globalizing and interdependent world.

religious observances calendar

The Religious Observances calendar displays the observances of our community members.  ISI is a secular school; therefore, the calendar is provided with the intent of creating awareness, understanding, and respect among diverse cultural, spiritual, and religious groups and providing guidance for special considerations when applicable.

This calendar, prepared by the DEI Advisory Council, is regularly updated by the council, and families, students, and employees are encouraged to submit information for inclusion in the calendar if their significant religious observances are not currently reflected.

All requests can be submitted by utilizing the Religious Observances Calendar Submission Form.
