The International Gala is a Black-Tie Optional event. Guests are encouraged to wear black or neon/bright colors – gowns, dressy separates, cocktail dresses, tuxedos, suits, or sports jackets and dress pants (no jeans). The “Grown Up’s Night Out” theme invites you to accessorize with neon! Great creative – think neon shirt ties, shoes, jewelry, nail polish, makeup, and more! Examples can be found below. 

Free parking is available in the parking garage, accessed from the left side of Illinois St. just north of 30th St. The parking garage is connected to the museum by a covered skywalk. The skywalk is located between the second and third floors. Please note that guests are unable to leave their vehicles on museum property overnight. Check out this parking map for even more tips.

Guests will receive table assignments during event check-in. Guests who purchased individual and couple tickets are grouped together to fill tables, and we make every effort to  accommodate seating requests.

On arrival, once check in is complete, you will be greeted with a selection of hors d'oeuvres. You will have the opportunity to socialize with friends and other members of this ISI community as well as view the fabulous range of auction items available.

The dining room will open at 7:30 p.m. and you will be invited to join your table ready for the welcome and dinner to be served. During this time you will be able to bid on the silent auction using our online auction bidding system. Programming and the live auction follows where the most sought after items are available.

Once dinner and the auction concludes, the after-party begins! Guests will enjoy a live DJ and dance floor, plus time to explore museum exhibits!

6:00 p.m. - VIP Arrival
VIP guests will have access to the Carousel Wishes and Dream exhibit upon arrival. At the VIP reception, guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a bar with select complimentary drinks, as well as exclusive access to the exhibit, including unlimited carousel rides, a mirror maze, games and puzzles arcade, and treehouses. 

6:30 p.m. - General Arrival
Guests will arrive at the Welcome Center and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and an opportunity to view and place bids on auction items. 

7:30 p.m. - Programming Begins
Dinner and event programming will take place in the Sunburst Atrium. Dinner will be a three-course meal, with a dual-plated entree, with vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options also available.

9:00 p.m. - After Party Begins
All guests will be able to explore the American POP and Dinosphere galleries from 9:00-10:00 p.m. At 10:00 p.m., guests can gather in the Welcome Center for the DJ and dance floor.

With mobile bidding, you can browse items and place bids on your smartphone. You can either bid manually or set a maximum bid amount so that the software bids for you! You can see if you have been outbid, bookmark items to watch, make a donation and check your receipts. 

• In order to participate in the bidding, each attendee must agree to the rules and regulations presented here. By completing your registration for the event, you are stating that you do agree.
• The International School of Indiana reserves the right to add or withdraw auction items, without notice, to or from the organization.
• A valid bid for the silent auction is considered made by clicking on the desired item, typing in a valid bid that adheres to the increment guidelines, and pressing submit.
• There will be a 5-minute warning announced prior to the close of the silent auction.
• Once the silent auction has been declared closed, additional bids will not be accepted or valid for silent auction items.
• Bids during the live auction are made using a provided bidding device and by raising your hand. The auctioneer will recognize you with assistance from auction spotters. The auctioneer has the sole and final decision in determining the successful bidder.
• Auction runners will collect payment for live auction items via Bidpal technology.
• The winning bid for both silent and live auction items is the highest qualifying bid (i.e., one that complies with these auction rules) at the closing time.
• Once the silent auction item is declared "closed," the winner will be notified on their smartphone and instructed to collect their winnings.
• A credit card must be placed on file before bidding can begin. Payment for items purchased must be made in full by the close of the Gala.
• Following your payment, pick up your winnings in the designated checkout area. You'll be required to show your payment confirmation, and a photo ID may be required if there are age limitations for auction items (e.g., alcohol).
• All items must be picked up by the winner(s) on the night of the event unless they are not in attendance or special arrangements are made with a School Advancement team member.
• Any item left unclaimed for 30 or more days will become the property of the International School of Indiana, even if the bidder has paid for the item. The item will be sold, and proceeds will go to ISI.
• All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be permitted. No item is redeemable for cash. You are responsible for the safety and security of the item(s) once you have claimed them. ISI is not responsible for any items left behind after the event, and no refunds will be given for items left behind by the winner at the venue.
• Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from ISI, their elected and appointed officials, employees, the auctioneer, the event organizers, sponsors, and or volunteers connected with the auction.
• Some items are subject to limitations/restrictions as listed in the catalog and or on the gift certificate. Hotels, theatres, and restaurants are subject to space availability and may be subject to "blackout" dates.
• For auction items that are services to be performed or items to be ordered, it is the buyer's responsibility to make arrangements directly with the donor as indicated.
• The auction item value listed is an estimate of Fair Market Value (FMV). Items have not been appraised unless so noted. International School of Indiana is a 501(c)(3) organization. Any bid over the value of the item is considered a donation and may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify the amount of deduction.

One of the most impactful projects that funds raised from this event supports is ISI’s financial aid program. The school believes that educational excellence stems from an exposure to a variety of perspectives including socioeconomic, ethnic, and geographic, as well as that an investment in the future of a child is an investment in our community. Each year ISI awards over $2 million in financial aid. Our ability to do this is due to fundraising activities such as the International Gala.

In addition, previous galas have funded practical and much needed items such as the school buses and the Blackwell Building awnings.
