Season Recap: Middle School Track

The Middle School Track Team finished one of its most successful seasons in school history! Many students achieved top-three finishes, and even more set new personal records throughout the season.

“Our goals as a team was to learn to contribute our individual efforts and create a team that embodied our collective efforts and commitment to track and field,” Head Coach Lisa White said. “Another goal was to grow a passion for the sport and to provide a space where everyone's performances were recognized and praised.”

The team's recent growth has allowed for more student engagement in a wider range of track and field events. More students have been able to participate in relay races and have received more support and competition in field events.

“The biggest achievement for our boys' and girls' teams was winning first place at one of our home meets. It was exciting to see the growth and potential of our athletes,” White said. “This Track and Field team will hopefully continue to grow larger and set a new norm that involves more engaged student-athletes who are interested in a supportive, inclusive, and competitive athletic program.”

Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants and sponsors, this year’s event surpassed last year’s total, raising over $31,000! These funds directly support facility and equipment upgrades, helping to elevate our athletics program to new heights. As the cost of running the ISI Athletics Program is not covered entirely by athletics fees, philanthropic support is a critical component of continual program growth.
