Season Recap: Girls Varsity Tennis

The Girls Varsity Tennis team entered the season with confidence, camaraderie, and a renewed sense of purpose. After months of individual training and team preparation, the players brought excitement and determination to every match, growing both as athletes and as a team.

“I planned on winning multiple games this season,” said Grade 11 student Gabby Vergnaud. “I improved so much in the off-season. I looked forward to growing a stronger bond with the others on the team. The Girls Tennis Team worked and played hard, and we finally had a full team this season!”

Having a full team marked a major milestone. With more players came more opportunities for match wins, shared memories, and a deeper sense of community.

Grade 11 student Liliana Sanchez reflected on the spirit of the team. “My favorite memory from the tennis season was being able to work with others. I laughed the hardest at tennis. This team was the best group to play tennis with.” That fun, supportive atmosphere was something the entire team valued and built on throughout the season.

One standout achievement came from Grade 10 student Veronica Sabau, who made it to Regionals. “My biggest accomplishment this season was winning my first Sectionals match and making it to Regionals,” she said.

With strong returning players and a shared commitment to improvement, the team laid a solid foundation for future seasons. Whether building lasting friendships, improving individual performance, or cheering each other on during tough matches, the Girls Varsity Tennis team served up a season full of energy, heart, and growth.
