Season Recap: Boys Varsity Volleyball

In their second ever season, the Boys Varsity Volleyball Team worked to improve the skills of returning players and develop new players. Players with experience helped new players learn the sport and become more comfortable communicating on the court.

“The boys played really well and did a great job playing together,” Assistant Coach Kevin Long said. “We were able to use a few different lineups allowing everyone to get some good action throughout the season.”

The team had many stand-out performances throughout the season, including a Senior Night win again Beech Grove High School in straight sets, and a third-place finish in the Men’s Volleyball Indianapolis Invitational in Lafayette.

“My biggest goal coming into the season was to improve my topspin serve,” senior Benjamin Mackey said. “My favorite memory so far this season has been teaching Yui how to spike.”
