Season Recap: Boys Varsity Golf

The Boys Varsity Golf Team started the season not knowing what to expect – the golf team is one of the newest teams at ISI, and one of the youngest, with no seniors participating in the sport this season. With the hard work and dedication of the athletes, the Boys Varsity Golf Team finished with a 7-1 regular season record!

Each player had personal goals and improvements they wanted to make throughout the season and worked hard to accomplish them. Many players medaled throughout the season, including Peter Machado, Tristyn Patel, and Evan Johnson.

“My biggest goal coming into the season was to make good contact with the golf ball,” Grade 11 student Benjamin Salazar said. “I want to keep improving and become a better golfer, in general, moving forward.”

With all players eligible to return next season, the team looks to take advantage of their experience and continue growing with another successful season and the addition of new, younger players.

Across the ISI campus, students are doing meaningful work to keep our campus a beautiful point of pride for our community. The students who are part of G-Force (short for the Gryphon Grounds Force) are fixing, painting, landscaping, and problem-solving. G-Force is an X-Block club where Upper School students contribute directly to the upkeep and improvement of the school, with the help of ISI parents and the Indianapolis community.
