ISI Launches 10-Year Campus Master Plan

August 14, 2025

The International School of Indiana (ISI) has unveiled its 10-Year Campus Master Plan, a comprehensive roadmap that will guide the next decade of campus growth, sustainability initiatives, and strategic facility enhancements. This forward-looking plan will ensure ISI continues to provide an exceptional environment for learning, collaboration, and community engagement.

The Campus Master Plan is built on three core priorities:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing infrastructure to ensure safety, functionality, and modern learning spaces.
  • Implementing sustainability measures to protect and preserve campus resources for future generations.
  • Pursuing new construction projects that support Upper School strategic growth goals and elevate the experience of all ISI constituents.

A Vision Rooted in Community Collaboration

“As we boldly look to our school’s future, I am pleased to invite you to explore our 10-year Campus Master Plan,” said Head of School Elizabeth Head. “This plan, developed from generous insights and feedback from our community, represents our collective vision for the future of the International School of Indiana campus.”

From its beginnings in 1994 with 63 acres, a single modest building, and a vision, ISI has grown into a unified campus that serves students from preschool through Grade 12. Over the past three decades, the school has built the foundational facilities needed for academic excellence and community life. Now, the Campus Master Plan provides the opportunity to build upon this foundation with projects that will transform the campus for generations to come.

Phased Development for Long-Term Impact

The plan outlines a phased approach to development:

  • Phase One: Projects addressing the most urgent priorities, completing campus unification, and strengthening community connections.
  • Phase Two: Facilities designed to support Upper School growth and expand academic opportunities.
  • Phase Three: Sustainability-focused initiatives to protect campus resources, enhance daily experiences, and ensure ISI reaches its full potential.

Preparing for the Future

Grounded in current capabilities and inspired by future aspirations, the 10-Year Campus Master Plan positions ISI to continue shaping inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people ready to make an impact on the world.
