Athletics Recap - August 8th to 16th
It was another full week of competition for the Gryphons, with our teams showing focus, grit, and school pride across every game and match. Here’s a look at the results from this week in ISI Athletics.
Student Athlete of the Week | Emma Wust Head | Girls Varsity Volleyball
Emma played 6 rotations in a brand new position in the scrimmage Monday against Indy Fire. She had a great night serving, playing defense, and hitting outside. Emma always puts forth full effort, no matter what position she plays. She takes feedback well, has a positive attitude, and is happy to support her team. Congratulations on a great night, Emma!
8/8 | Boys Varsity Soccer vs Lighthouse Christian Academy
The Gryphons opened the season with a strong performance, showcasing the dedication and hard work they’ve put in since last season. The team played with confidence and poise, making smart passes and showing the competitiveness we can expect all season long. A special shoutout to Beckett for scoring a hat trick in his first high school match!
Great work by all of our student-athletes as they continue to compete hard and represent ISI with pride! Go Gryphons!
