Athletics Recap - April 20th to 26th

It was another full week of competition for the Gryphons, with our teams showing focus, grit, and school pride across every game and match. Here’s a look at the results from this week in ISI Athletics.

Student Athlete of the Week | Ashwin Long | Varsity Track & Field
Ashwin has been nominated for his leadership during the last track meet. He consistently encouraged his teammates, supported them throughout the event, and helped create an inclusive environment where everyone felt part of the team. His positive attitude and ability to bring others together had a clear impact

4/30 | Boys Varsity High School vs North Putnam High School | 25-22, 25-12, 15-25, 20-25, 15-6
The team won in a 5-set thriller against North Putnam. We won the first two sets, then North Putnam came back with strong serving in the next two sets, while we missed a large amount serves. The team started to pick on each other, but reined it in during the 5th set. The sophomores shined, with Elio Coppano and Kai Paing going on long serving runs and Tucker Congrove with 4 kills in the 5th set. Congratulations to the team for working through some tough scenarios to come out on top!
