3. Application and Checklist
We manage student applications through our preferred software, Open Apply.
It's important that applicant families remember to review and submit the checklist items included as a part of the application form. Required checklist items will vary depending on the applicant's grade level.
4. Pre-Entry Visits & Shadow Days
This compulsory step in our admissions process happens after your ISI application and checklist items have accepted by the school. These visits are an important step as members of our faculty, staff, and student body help new-student applicants assess deavelopmental and social fit with our community and its culture.
- LOWER SCHOOL PRE-ENTRY VISITS (students age 3 to grade 1)
- LOWER AND UPPER SCHOOL SHADOW DAYS (grades 2 to 12)
Pre-entry visits are a requirement of the ISI enrollment process for students age 3 through grade 1. In addition to allowing your student to experience an ISI classroom, pre-entry visits facilitate our staff evaluating how the student will perform at a particular grade level.
Pre-entry visits begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. They are hosted on our 49th Street campus.

The shadow day consists of the prospective student shadowing one of our current students (going to class, lunch, and on a campus tour). If your student has any interests and time/schedules allow, we will try to schedule time with a coach/teacher/sponsor as well.
