It's important that applicant families remember to review and submit the checklist items included as a part of the application form. Required checklist items will vary depending on the applicant's grade level. Checklist items are outlined when you begin the application using our process management platform Parent Portal.

We encourage the families of all applicants to carefully review our tuition and fees and to evaluate their own ability to pay school costs for the coming year and in future years. If parents/guardians think they will need assistance with ISI tuition, they must apply at the time of admission. If the request for assistance is not made with a student's initial application for admission, consideration for financial aid will only be granted at a later date, including subsequent years, if the need is due to a significant, unexpected change in circumstances, for example, a job loss. 

Eligibility for financial aid is based on a family's demonstrated need -- as determined by important factors such as family income, assets, family size, and tuition obligations for other dependent children. In order to determine the financial need of a family, ISI utilizes recommendations from Clarity, and requires financial documentation such as federal tax returns to be submitted.

Attend a Pre-Entry Visit or Shadow Day

Once we have received the complete application an admissions team member will contact you to arrange the pre-entry visit or shadow day. These visits allow us to get to know your child while they learn more about us. Don’t be nervous. It’s not a test and everyone is required to attend.

• Pre-entry visit (3 year old – Grade 1) is a play-based evaluation that assesses the social, and developmental readiness of your child and how they interact with other children. 
• Shadow Days (Grades 2-12) are an important step for members of our faculty, staff, and student body to assess the developmental and social fit of prospective students with our community.
• Admissions Interviews (Grades 6-12) are an opportunity for us to learn about the student’s personality, academic and extracurricular interests, and why they are interested in ISI. It also gives them an opportunity to ask questions about our school.  These can be conducted during the shadow day or virtually if a student is unable to come to campus.

Shadow Visits may be scheduled directly with the Office of Admissions (admissions@isind.org, 317-923-1951, ext.334) and may be held virtually or waived for international students.

Receive Admissions Decision

The Admissions Committee considers your application and you will be advised of the decision. Applications will be reviewed and decisions released on a rolling basis after the Priority Application deadlines. Families typically receive their admissions decision two weeks after all application materials are submitted. 

Once admitted, students and families are encouraged to review tuition & fees, apply for financial aid (if eligible), and confirm enrollment by submitting their Enrollment Contract and completing their Enrollment Checklist.
