Following a two-month search, Elizabeth Head, the International School of Indiana (ISI) Head of School, has selected Jessica Armstrong, CPA, to serve as the ISI Vice President of Finance.

Armstrong’s career spans both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, including close to a decade as the Chief Financial Officer for Child Advocates, Inc. in Indianapolis. To join ISI, she leaves her most recent role as the Director of Finance and Operations at Simon Youth Foundation.

“Jessica has helped guide the fiscal stability of nonprofits for nearly two decades, starting first as an accountant managing audits for 501c3 organizations before entering the nonprofit sector in executive leadership roles,” says Ms. Head. “She brings this experience to ISI at a vital time in the institution’s development as we enter the public phase of the ONE ISI capital campaign to unify our campus and as we launch a five-year strategic operations plan that seeks to develop new policies related to finance management.”

In addition to serving as the lead ISI financial officer, Armstrong will provide strategic oversight of the school’s operations, leading an ISI team of more than 6 staff members that represent departments responsible for finance, human resources, information technology, and facilities management. She’ll also manage ISI vendor relationships related to those operational areas.

"ISI is in a special place as it enters its second quarter-century,” Armstrong says. “I am excited for the chance to help the ISI community continue to grow and positively impact young people and the Central Indiana community through an unmatched commitment to diversity and understanding.”

“Jessica represents another important step forward for ISI,” Head explains. “She is one of the final pieces of a reimagined leadership team that is ready to build on the ISI legacy and elevate the school’s profile, impact, and sustainability to new heights.”

Armstrong’s first day at ISI is September 30. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting degree from Heidelberg College, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the University of Toledo, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana.
