Hoosier by Choice: “When I came to check out … the International School of Indiana, I realized that Indiana has so much to offer for families, as well as for internationally minded Hoosiers,” Elizabeth Head told WTHR (Channel 13).
What makes Indiana a great place to live? That’s the focus of a new video campaign sponsored by the Indiana Destination Development Corp. highlighting people from all walks of life who chose to make Indiana their home. Among those recently featured: ISI Head of School Elizabeth Head, who was lured to Indianapolis more than two years ago from her school leadership role and longtime home in Costa Rica.
The awareness campaign, called “Hoosiers by Choice,” features new and longtime residents ranging from celebrities like Indiana Fever General Manager Tamika Catchings to business owners to students. WTHR (Channel 13) in Indianapolis recently interviewed Head about her IDDC video and what drew her to Indiana. Among the reasons: Indiana’s quality of life, the state’s commitment to the global community by attracting and growing international talent, and ISI’s reputation in preparing students for the world stage.
“When I came to check out … the International School of Indiana, I realized that Indiana has so much to offer for families, as well as for internationally minded Hoosiers,” Head told WTHR. “So it’s been a lovely place to live, and I’ve been so happy to be here with my children.”
