Campuses and Facilities

ISI is situated on two campuses.

3-year-old through Grade 5 (Pre-Elementary and Elementary) attend our 49th Street campus at 200 W. 49th Street in Indianapolis, across the street from Butler University.

Grades 6 through 12 (Middle School and High School) attend our Michigan Road campus at 4330 N. Michigan Road, just north of the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Both campuses have their own library and recreational facilities, including a gym.

49th Street Campus

A 1940s schoolhouse leased from Butler University in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood, the 49th Street building is a cozy background for the language immersion education for our pre-elementary through elementary students.

Michigan road Campus

Built due to the generosity of our donors after whom our two buildings are named, Blackwell and Taurel. The Michigan Road campus contains our Middle and High School students and is the home of our athletic teams, the Gryphons.
