Celebrating 30 Years of International Education in Indiana
2024 marks the 30th Anniversary of the International School of Indiana! Our 30th anniversary marks a significant milestone in our journey of delivering world-class education, fostering a diverse and inclusive community, and inspiring lifelong learning.
Since our founding on West 42nd Street, ISI has grown from a visionary idea into a vibrant, diverse community that champions academic excellence, intercultural understanding, and holistic development. Our commitment to the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and our diverse environment has empowered hundreds of students from all over the world to achieve their fullest potential, both academically and personally.
As we celebrate this significant anniversary, we take a moment to reflect on our rich history, celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students and faculty, and look ahead to a future filled with promise and innovation. We invite you to join us in commemorating 30 years of ISI at our 30th Anniversary Celebration Weekend, Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23.
Weekend Events and Activities
FRIDAY, MARCH 21
In-School Celebration for Students | 10:00 AM
Assembly for Students with founders of the school
Campus Tours | 3:00 - 4:00 PM
Student Tour Guides will provide campus tours for visiting alumni.
Alumni Happy Hour Event | 4:00 PM
Hosted on campus prior to the start of the Timmy Game. This event is for all ISI Alumni.
Timmy Game | 5:30 PM
The Timmy Game has been a shared experience for alumni and current students for twenty years. Timmy Global Health has been the outside philanthropic priority of the ISI Upper School for two decades, connecting alumni and current students in the shared mission of improving local health outcomes for communities around the world. Originally established in 2004 and expanded in 2018 to create Timmy Junior, the Timmy Club exists for philanthropic purposes.
During the 30th anniversary weekend, the ISI community will have the opportunity to enjoy a Timmy basketball game, featuring the ISI Boys Varsity Team versus ISI Alumni and Faculty.
Founders Dinner | 7:00 PM
Invitation only event
The International School of Indiana will celebrate its founding at an invitation-only event for its current and former board members, civic leaders, and lead donors on its 30th Anniversary. The Founders Dinner is part of a 3-day celebration hosted by ISI and will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 7:00 PM
SATURDAY MARCH 22
Tours, Time Capsules, and Class Photos | 10:00 AM - Noon
Does your graduating class remember preparing a time capsule? We still have them! If you want to view your capsule and get a class photo taken, you won’t want to miss the on-campus activities planned for our alumni. A full schedule will be released in July 2024.
Class Gatherings | Afternoon
Organized by class chairs. Casual gatherings that allow classes to meet at restaurants/bars/homes.
International Gala | 6:30 PM - Midnight
Celebrate three decades of International Education in Indiana at the International Gala (formerly Travel Auction). The school’s signature fundraising event will be held on the anniversary weekend, providing a special opportunity for past, present, and future Gryphon families and friends to come together in celebration of ISI. The event will be hosted at the Indiana State Museum. The Museum’s Great Hall, with the iconic INDIANA obelisk, serves as the perfect backdrop for the event, providing guests with spectacular views of the canal, Military Park, and the downtown Indianapolis skyline.
SUNDAY, MARCH 23
Family Brunch | 11:00 AM
All alumni, families, and ISI community members are invited to this final event of the weekend, hosted on ISI campus. Gryphon Store will also be open.
RSVP today to help our team plan for the weekend! Full Weekend Registration will open in September!
Join the host committee
The host committee is made up of alumni, parents, and employee volunteers who will welcome ISI guests to campus. The host committee participates in the weekend events, communicates with constituent groups on behalf of ISI, and gathers community-specific information regarding local venues and recreational attractions.
