International School of Indiana continued the celebration of its 25th Anniversary Year with our annual fall tradition, the Parent Association Fall Festival, on October 20 in the Blackwell Building and surrounding grounds.
Beginning at 1 p.m., activities throughout the day included a 40-foot obstacle course, Legos and Beyblades, face painting, pumpkin decorating, balloons, games, a costume contest, the Red Hot Chili Cook-Off, the Cake Bake-Off, the Cake Walk, the Lower School Choir, a raffle, Market District and Kona Ice food trucks, wine, beer and other refreshments for all ages. While the weather conditions were less than ideal, hundreds of students, parents and school staff attended the community-spirited and family-focused event.
“The Parent Association would like to thank the nearly 100 people — parents, students and especially the incredibly generous folks at Market District — who helped to make this year’s Fall Festival such a success, even while contending with wind gusts up to 60 mph!” Sue Wiltz says. “You super volunteers know who you are and we very much appreciate all that you do!”
The Parent Association will have a final report on the event, including how much was raised after expenses, at their next Parent Association meeting at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in the 49th Street Cafeteria. In the meantime, they would like to congratulate the following Cake-Bake Off, Chili Cook-Off and Raffle winners:
- Best Decorated: Brayden Armantrout (5th grade) Ghosts in the Graveyard
- Best Tasting: Izzy Diab & Laure Daufenbach (5th grade) Rainbow Delight
Each received a $25.00 gift card that was donated by the Market District.
- Mike Sanders (two years in a row)
He received the embroidered Chili Cook-Off Apron and will receive a new apron to keep!
