Girl GryFINS Diver Headed to State Diving Competition

Posted by

The girls swim team finished their swim season with a lot of personal best times leading up to and including Sectionals. Congratulations GryFINS!
In diving, our own Evelyn (Evie) Geier was extremely successful with her diving abilities and finished as the Sectional Champion with an opportunity to compete at Regionals at Plainfield High School.  Her steady and consistent dives at Regionals earned her high scores, where once again she finished #1 and qualified her for the state diving competition with only 32 other divers in the state.  This is an amazing accomplishment for Evie and we wish her the best.

The state diving competition will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 9:00 am in the IUPUI Natatorium located at 901 West New York Street, Indianapolis, IN.  Admission for the diving event is $8.  We hope to have some ISI fans in attendance to support Evie.  We are so proud of her and her accomplishments.

Go GryFINS!

More about Evie-

Evie is a Junior at the International High School and an accomplished diver who has been diving for a little over three years in addition to being hard at work in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. She has participated in both the International School of Indiana GryFINS team as well on the Indiana International School of Diving (IISD) swim club.  In the fall she attended her first international competition, the 20th annual International CAMO Invitation in Montréal, Canada. The meet was spread out over 4 days and she competed in 3 events, Women’s A 1M placing 7th, Women’s A 3M placing 11th, and Women’s Open 3M placing 5th.

Evie should be commended for her success both in diving and academically as well as for embodying the guiding principals of the International School of Indiana through her efforts. Evie is Ready for the World Stage.
