Students at the International School of Indiana (ISI) will host the new Consul General of France this week. Monsieur Guillaume Lacroix is based in Chicago where his main role is to promote trade between Midwest and French companies. He’ll visit ISI’s Lower and Upper Schools on Wednesday, October 18.
Lacroix will start the day observing ISI’s Lower School French immersion classes and then meet with older French students at the Upper School to speak to them and answer trade and foreign policy questions from the group.
The French Consul General is an honorary member of ISI’s Board and the Lower School French immersion program is accredited by the French Ministry of Education. The visit is being coordinated by the International Center in Indianapolis.
“We are thrilled that our students have the incredible opportunity to meet with such a high-level diplomat,” said Head of School David Garner. “This will help them put their French skills to the test and explore more about world events and Indiana’s place in the global community.”
