Private Music Lessons

10.09.2012

The International School of Indiana, in partnership with the Butler Community Arts School, would like to expand its offerings for private music lessons to ISI UPPER SCHOOL students. Butler University students will teach the lessons on the ISI campus.

PLEASE NOTE - Enrollment forms must be completed by THIS FRIDAY, October 12, to ensure enrollment for this first session.

These lessons will provide students with specialized knowledge and skills that can be further utilized and developed through the ISI music curriculum. In addition, we would like to offer extracurricular instrumental ensembles next year, if we have enough student interest. These lessons will help prepare students for participating in an ensemble.

Offerings:
  • Piano
  • Voice
  • Guitar
  • Strings (violin, viola, cello)
  • Brass (trumpet, french horn, trombone)
  • Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone)
  • Percussion
Cost: $175 per session. Each session is 7 weeks long.

Session 1: October 29 - December 19 (Thursday and Friday classes extend into January 2013)
Session 2: January 14 - March 14
Session 3: March 18 - May 10
Book fees are included in the cost.

Students must provide their own instrument. Instruments may be rented from Paige's Music (https://www.paigesmusic.com).

Depending on parent preferences, we will offer both after-school lessons and lessons during the school day. If you choose to enroll your child in lessons during the school day, the student must be responsible for getting all missed class work. The in-school lessons will be arranged on a rotating schedule if possible.

Enrollment forms must be completed by Friday, October 12 to ensure enrollment for this first session.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Dawn Lovig at dlovig@isind.org.
