Gryphon Peer Counseling

At the Upper School, Gryphon Peer Leaders are class representatives who exhibit the Learner Profile characteristics of being thoughtful, caring, reflective, inquisitive, open-minded, knowledgeable, balanced, principled, communicative and courageous.

New students and their families are introduced to a Gryphon Peer Leader who helps to orientate and integrate the new student into ISI.
The Gryphon Peer Leader learns about a new students' interests, goals, fears and expectations of ISI, and helps to guide them in the right direction.
As a conflict - resolution mediator, Gryphon Peer Leaders may be called upon to help resolve interpersonal conflicts within a grade level.
A Gryphon Peer Leader receives training on how to successfully navigate these conflicts and is given administrative guidance and support throughout the school year.
