Scholarships
Scholarship Awards
Every year ISI awards merit scholarships to
prospective freshman students for the following academic year.
Below is a summary of the awards available. Financial awards are applied toward tuition. This will be renewable, subject to a yearly review, which will take into account student achievement and effort.
Global Citizen (2):
- Progress in the acquisition of a language other than the native tongue; appreciation/knowledge of the culture associated with language.
- Include a piece of graded work in the language.
- Understanding and enjoyment of the culture should be demonstrated in the personal statement.
Science (2):
- Academic excellence Includes a piece of graded work in support of application.
Math (1):
- Academic excellence Includes a piece of graded work in support of application.
Humanities (1):
- Academic excellence Includes a piece of graded work in support of application.
Arts (1):
- Student must demonstrate talented participation in one or more of the following; choir, orchestra, theatre productions or a musical instrument, with support from a conductor or director.
- For Visual Arts a portfolio of paintings, sketches, photographs, drawings, pottery, etc. showing originality should be submitted.
Technology (1):
- Personal Statement must be an electronic presentation demonstrating skillful use of different computer applications.
Head of School (1) and Upper School Principal (1):
- Outstanding effort or commitment
- Contribution to the school community and a role model who inspires others
- Overcoming of adversity
- Exemplifies ISI's values
- Head of School or Upper School Principal makes the choice as appropriate
- No formal application process
Taurel Scholarship
- Awarded every four years
- Outstanding effort or commitment to the school; role model who inspires others and exemplifies ISI’s values and mission.
- Scholarship Committee makes recommendation to Head of School.
