  • The application is to be accompanied by a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Transcripts

  • Transcripts should be sent directly from the issuing institution and should include transcripts of the two previous academic years and first semester of the current academic year.
  • Attendance records, teacher's comments and standardized testing results should be included.

Two Letters of Recommendation

  • The admissions packet includes two recommendation forms.
  • Once completed, the evaluators should send the forms directly to the ISI Admissions Office by mail, email: admissions@isind.org or fax +1.317.923.1910. One of the letters should be from a current math or science teacher, the other one from a language arts teacher.

Shadow Visit

  • Middle school students who are interested in ISI are encouraged to be a part of the "shadowing program."  We call this experience "shadowing" because the visiting student spends the day accompanying a current student who already knows the school well.
  • Appointments are required for the shadowing program and can be made by contacting Sarah Harrison or Kate Lock in the ISI Admissions Office at +1.317.923.1951 or admissions@isind.org.
  • On the day of your appointment, students should report to the main office by 7:55 a.m. They will meet briefly with an admissions representative and then they will be introduced to a student who will accompany them throughout the day.
  • Visiting students will attend classes with their host so that they can experience a typical day at ISI.
  • Students should bring a note pad and pen to take notes during class. They should also bring a change of clothes and shoes for gym class.
  • We invite the shadow student to a lunch in the school cafeteria as our guest.  Lunch will be provided free of charge.
  • At the end of the school day students should report to the Admissions Office and may be picked up at 3:35 p.m.

Admissions Interview

  • On-campus admission interviews are required of all local candidates.
  • At the end of the school day students should report to the Admissions Office and may be picked up at 3:35 p.m.
